In 1976 I got my first ticket, WN9WPR, I worked many DX stations as a novice, quite a few were RARE. I upgraded to advanced In 1979 and Extra In 1980. I have been married for 40 years now to the love of my life Venita K Donovan. I have two grand children, who I make sure are always In my pictures. I have a beautiful 1955 chevy that Is all stock, that I take to car shows. I am active on 40 meters, usually you can find me there talking to my good friend W4HPR, Russ. My old call , that you might remember was KB9N, I was active on the E.T DX NET back In the 1980's, with W6BF, and W2NQ/7. We had many real rare DX stations on that NET, and there were a lot of guys that had a good chance to work them. My two ELMERS were Mike Swaim and Jon WEICHBRODT.I can still remember when Mike would come over to my house, on his lunch hour, to put a dipole up for me.If not for both of these friends, I would still be saying "HEY 10-4" on channel 23
The following pictures are from the Morris Car Show
